JOSEPH UVINO

Mr. Uvino has been a practicing attorney for nearly 29 years working in both the private sector and in-house at insurance carriers.  For almost 20 years, Mr. Uvino has focused his practice in the areas of insurance and reinsurance coverage.  Additionally, through the years, Mr. Uvino has also been involved in a number of insurance – related transactions.  Earlier, he practiced in the areas of complex commercial litigation and bankruptcy.

His experience includes the representation of the London Market and domestic carriers on a variety of insurance and reinsurance matters. In particular, Mr. Uvino participated in the resolution of several reinsurance matters involving underlying asbestos, pollution, health hazard and workers compensation losses.

Mr. Uvino has been lead counsel on the acquisition of a property and casualty insurance carrier as well as a domestic reinsurer.  He also has advised clients on loss portfolio transfers and related transactions. He currently counsels foreign and domestic insurers and reinsurers on a wide range of issues.
