JEREMY WALLIS
Since 2000 Mr. Wallis has served as a reinsurance consultant and arbitrator. He has been appointed to over 70 arbitration panels and has been engaged by U.S., London, European, South American and Asian insurers and reinsurers for both arbitration and expert consulting projects, including litigation support.   Within the consulting arena he was retained for many years to manage a substantial run-off portfolio of treaty and insurance program business. Since 2012 he has served as the Executive Director of the international reinsurance trade association the Intermediaries and Reinsurance Underwriters Association, Inc. – details of which may be found at www.irua.com
He started his career in the London reinsurance market before transferring to New York in the 1970s where he held executive and CEO roles for US domiciled reinsurance companies. His experience is heavily underwriting focused from both a U.S. and U.K. perspective and encompasses most lines of business but more specifically property, energy, marine, aviation, auto, commercial casualty, surety and A&H.
He has extensive experience in senior management and corporate affairs and has served on the boards of several U.S. insurance/reinsurance companies and is a former board member of the IRU.
He is an ARIAS-US Certified Arbitrator and Umpire; an ARIAS (UK) Arbitration Panel member; an AIRROC listed arbitrator; and Joint Resolution/AAA listed arbitrator.
