Listed below are the major acquisitions made to date by ISG

Americas

In May 2008 ISG and joint venture partners purchased Louisiana-based Americas Insurance Company from the Whittington Group and subsequently re-activated this benign run-off as a live homeowners insurance business. We have also set up a managing general agent in Louisiana to underwrite for Americas, which has licenses to write in 29 US states. ISG continues to manage Americas’ much reduced legacy portfolio.

Paladin

In April 2009 ISG purchased New York reinsurance run-off Paladin Reinsurance Corporation, significantly expanding and strengthening our position in the US (re)insurance sector.

Syncorp

Also in April 2009, ISG purchased Syndicate and Corporate Management Services Inc, a New York based service company (with a subsidiary based in Bermuda), through which we now service Paladin. This acquisition again reinforces our base in the US and Bermudian (re)insurance markets.

In December 2009 ISG purchased Shared Services Insurance Group, a Pennsylvania insurance company. This acquisition continues ISG’s expansion in the US (re) insurance sector.

The Future

ISG continues to seek out opportunities to acquire or take a share in discontinued portfolios or companies in run-off in the US and in Europe.
